Movie Players

Introduction
You surely agree with me that the Windows Media Player with proper codecs installed is enough, but it is not as handy as some other movie players with much more features.

You can keep using your Windows Media Player or upgrade it to the latest version here. But this is not encouraged. Instead I recommend you to try the following freeware movie players, which are the most used for DivX playback.

Global Divx Player

The Global Divx Player is a Windows Media Player replacement program originally designed to play back Divx movies, but it has been expanded to a full-featured media player capable of playing all AVIs, MPEG, VCDs, ASF, WMV, and much more.

Features include a slick, and easy to learn interface, little CPU and memory usage (great for low end machines), external subtitle support. The program supports windowed, always on top, and full-screen playback modes, along with many other tweaking abilities.

The program also installs SaveNow, a free online shopping companion on your machine. This kind of 3rd party programs are also called spyware, so if you are concerned like me about Internet security and privacy, visit our privacy section where you will find an easy way to remove it.

This free movie player which interface is based on PowerDVD player is one of the most complete up to date.

The main purpose of this player is playing ripped DVD movies from CD or HDD as close to the original as possible, including as many features of the original DVD as possible and giving as much comfort as possible compared to original DVD viewing.

May be if you want just to play you downloaded porn movies you will find more suitable gDivX player, at least I do ;-)
