Setup your PC - DivX 5.xx Bundle Intallation

Step-by-step guide

As you can see in this guide we are going to install the Bundle version of the DivX 5.xx codec. This version is more than enough to view the encoded movies and is adware/spyware free. The free pro version has adware / spyware on it (unless you buy it for $30 USD), but as we don't need to become a video editing masters, bundle version is far enough.

So to start what you have to do is download the setup program by clicking below:

DivX 5.05 bundle codec [ 3,15 Mb ]

Save it to a folder where you will easly find it, like c:\my documents and then double click on it and the following window will appear:

click Next and the welcome window will appear

again, click Next button

now reading the end-user agreement is at your own, then click Yes.

if you don't like the default installation directory click Browse and select another, then click Next and the following options appear:

this codec installation program comes with a player and the check box is marked by default, I do suggest you to uncheck the DivX Player 2.1 checkbox and install only the video codec. Your WMP is enough to play the movies, and if you want a very good free one, check the movie players section for BSPlay.

Now click Next and the following window appears:

click Next and the setup program will start copying files to your system, after a few seconds you are donw and the following window will appear:

That's all! Now enjoy with your DivX 5.xx movies!
